OUR HOME CHILDRENS SCHOOLS DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY RUN (LARI MERENTAS DESA).

My morning today was spent on seeing our children representing their schools in the above run.

Though none won any medals, it was fun for them to represent their school. One boy surprised me when he said he came second and later told me he got disqualified for taking the wrong route.

I waited along the road, like an excited father and managed to take photos of some of them running as fast as they could, when they saw me. (Our presence can give encouragement to all the children. Take note parents).

Reminded me of the days my wife and I will go for every sporting event of Shanti, and Reuben, our own children, when they were in primary and secondary school. We still go for Reubens football games, and to witness Shanti’s performances when time permits.

The crowd was very large with so many children coming together, supportive parents and teachers and not forgetting the vendors. Trying to gather the children for a group photo was like finding a needle in the haystack.
Thank God we finally managed to get one.
